Ubuntu is an amazing Linux operating system, preforming tasks that every computer user needs with the ease and simplicity of a Windows operating system without the price. It also can run on the slowest of computer hardware and in the smallest spaces of Hard Drive or Solid-State Disk memory. Knowing this, many Eee PC owners have probably considered installing Ubuntu on their Eees, but wanted more information on the actual process of installing and using Ubuntu to preform their everyday tasks before they take the plunge of wiping their factory-installed OS. This review is intended to give them a glimpse into the world of Ubuntu on an Eee PC: from installation, to downloading Adamm's customized kernel, to adding different applications, and using the Eee's many hardware features such as the webcam, speakers, wireless internet, and microphone.
